Get your show listed
Free. No account. Pick whichever of the three ways below is least work for you. A person checks every listing before it goes live, usually by the next morning.
Send one email
Write to events@amclive.org in plain English. "Friday the 7th, 8 pm, The Hideaway, $10, all ages" is enough. A flyer attached is fine too. One email can carry a whole month.
Email a showRun a venue? Do this one time
If your shows already live on your website, Squarespace, WordPress, Localist or a ticketing page, email us the link. From then on every show you post there is picked up automatically, twice a day, with nothing more to do. Facebook-only calendars cannot be read; for those, use the email or the form.

Seven fields, under a minute, works on your phone.
Open the formWhat to include
- Who's playing, and the venue and town
- Date and start time (doors time too, if different)
- Cover charge or "free", and ages if it matters
- A link for tickets or more info
Missing something? Send it anyway. We'll fill in what we can and ask about the rest.
What happens next
- Your message lands in a private review queue.
- An AI assistant drafts the listing from what you sent and flags anything unclear.
- A person at the Appalachian Music Collective approves it. Nothing publishes without that step.
- It appears on AMClive.org, in the calendar feed, and on the show's own page within a few minutes of approval.
Good to know
- Events subject to change. If a show moves or cancels, reply to your original email or send a new one with "UPDATE" in the subject and we'll fix it the same day.
- Live music only. Karaoke, trivia and DJ-only nights are not listed.
- Listings are published openly under CC BY 4.0 so other local sites can link to them. Your email address is never published.
- Coverage is Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia, including the whole Crooked Road from Bristol and Big Stone Gap out to Floyd and Rocky Mount. Shows outside that footprint are held back.
